DISORDERS OF BALANCE ACID - BASE (EAB) / APPLICATION FOR PHYSICIANS
This application is an aid for physicians practical and fast for the interpretation of acid-base balance disorders (EAB) following a clinical examination and blood gas analysis (EGA).
It 'just insert the values of pH, pCO ₂ and HCO ₃ to get the directions of the alteration and the disorder, possible causes, and the corresponding value of the expected reward.
In cases of metabolic acidosis is possible to calculate the anion gap for discriminating the cause.
Based on the values entered and calculated, it is highlighted in Siggaard-Andersen nomogram of the area corresponding to the alteration.
